The Lausanne 2026 weekend isn’t just about the Swiss Orienteering Championships and the 50th anniversary of the Lausanne-Jorat Orienteering Club! It’s also a chance for the general public to discover our sport!
Throughout the weekend, young and old alike will be able to try orienteering for free, not far from the race centre:
- Saturday 9 May, near the changing rooms
- An introduction and discovery courses for adults, from 10.00 to 16.00
- A fun introduction for children, from 12.00 to 16.30
- Sunday 10 May, next to the race centre
- Another chance for children to try orienteering, from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm
Further details will be provided later and will be available at the race centre!
As for equipment and cost, don’t worry: the introductory session is free, and equipment will be provided! If you feel brave enough to give orienteering a go, you’re welcome to take part in the taster session on Saturday morning and compete in the Swiss Championships in your age group or the open category!
We look forward to seeing you on 9 and 10 May at Place de la Navigation!
